En Villa de Pocho se encuentra la capilla Inmaculada Concepci\u00f3n de Mar\u00eda escenario del Pacto de los Cha\u00f1ares de 1774, reconocido como el primer documento pre-revolucionario en el que la Corona espa\u00f1ola le reconoce derechos a los pobladores, tras la Rebeli\u00f3n del Com\u00fan. <\/p>\n\n\n

\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

En la entrada se recuerda el hecho hist\u00f3rico junto con un poema de la escritora Gladys Acevedo. La capilla se llega transitando 14 kil\u00f3metros por camino de tierra de Las Palmas, cruzando la pampa de Pocho festoneada por las Altas Cumbres y en medio de las preciosas palmas de caranday. La iglesia es maciza, con una torre cuadrada que tambi\u00e9n es osario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
