Lleg\u00f3 a haber 294 esclavos negros y entre 600 y 800 abor\u00edgenes, junto a s\u00f3lo tres sacerdotes que viv\u00edan en el actual Museo.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La estancia jesu\u00edtica de Jes\u00fas Mar\u00eda (1618) se encuentra a 70 kil\u00f3metros de la ciudad de C\u00f3rdoba, cuatro kil\u00f3metros al norte de Caroya y a orillas del Camino Real que un\u00eda el Virreinato del R\u00edo de la Plata con el Alto Per\u00fa. El edificio es bell\u00edsimo y est\u00e1 construido sobre una loma, con una iglesia de fachada sobria y nave \u00fanica abovedada, patio central, galer\u00edas amplias, arcos de medio punto, un reloj solar y una enorme bodega, de 40 metros por 7, que hoy se utiliza para conciertos de m\u00fasica de c\u00e1mara.La producci\u00f3n vitivin\u00edcola era de excelencia; su vino lleg\u00f3 hasta la mesa del rey Felipe V de Espa\u00f1a.  Es Museo Nacional desde 1946 y sitio de memoria de la esclavitud desde 2007. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Desde la planta superior se aprecia una vista preciosa y hasta se ven los dos carajos en la cumbrera, que eran una especie de bancos a donde mandaban a los esclavos para controlar el Camino Real. Tiene recovecos, pasajes y escaleras secretas, y un horno empotrado en el muro. Se destacan los ba\u00f1os, que funcionaban con un sistema de cloacas a trav\u00e9s de acequias. Algo inusual para la \u00e9poca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hoy es un complejo muse\u00edstico fabuloso, especializado en arte religioso, en arqueolog\u00eda y en vida cotidiana de la \u00e9poca colonial. La colecci\u00f3n de arte es realmente impresionante con 16.000 objetos, sin contar documentos, fotograf\u00edas ni libros. La colecci\u00f3n de libros antiguos es muy valiosa al igual que la de grabados de los siglos XVI y XVII. Tambi\u00e9n se exhibe una completa colecci\u00f3n de numism\u00e1tica. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

El director del museo Carlos Alfredo Ferreyra cuenta que hay objetos maravillosos en la reserva, desde pecheras de bronce ind\u00edgena hasta pinturas mexicanas del siglo XVII. En una vitrina se puede ver una colecci\u00f3n de platos antiguos, donde se encuentra uno con un mensaje pol\u00edtico: \u201cFederaci\u00f3n o muerte\u201d, el lema que impuso Rosas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En otra de las salas se encuentra el inventario de la casa en la que figuran los esclavos. Lleg\u00f3 a haber 294 esclavos negros y entre 600 y 800 abor\u00edgenes, junto a s\u00f3lo tres sacerdotes que viv\u00edan en la estancia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
