Ostenta la incre\u00edble cifra de 1.900 especies (el 20% de las que existen en todo el planeta) y s\u00f3lo en Cali hay registradas 603.\u00a0<br>Qu\u00e9 privilegio haber visto algunas en el corredor natural que se dirige hacia el Parque Natural Nacional Farallones de Cali, que llega hasta 4.100 metros sobre el nivel del mar.\u00a0A medida que se sube, las aves van cambiando. Alfredo nos cont\u00f3 que de los diez pa\u00edses con m\u00e1s aves del mundo, con Colombia la cabeza, ocho son latinoamericanos. Eso, dijo, es un orgullo y una responsabilidad. Hay que cuidar, conocer y ense\u00f1ar a la gente a amar a las aves.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En este corredor, hay \u201caves estrella\u201d como el \u00e1guila coronada, el gallito de roca andino y unas 30 especies end\u00e9micas del valle del Cauca. Es una de las aves m\u00e1s espectaculares del mundo. Hay alrededor de 320 especies de colibr\u00edes; todas son del continente americano. No es la \u00fanica ave que se suspende pero tiene algo incre\u00edble: vuela hacia atr\u00e1s. \u201cEl colibr\u00ed es el \u00fanico con reversa, eso lo hace especial\u201d, gr\u00e1fico Alfredo.\u00a0Este pajarito tan bello puede mover las alas unas 80 veces por segundo y en condiciones de peligro puede llegar a 200. Es la \u00fanica ave que no puede caminar. \u201cAl tener tanta precisi\u00f3n del vuelo, con el paso del tiempo las patas se le atrofiaron\u201d, nos explic\u00f3 el avistador. Los colibr\u00edes entran en estado let\u00e1rgico para dormir, pr\u00e1cticamente paran su coraz\u00f3n para tener energ\u00eda para el d\u00eda siguiente.
