El barrio de San Telmo es un cl\u00e1sico de Buenos Aires. Es uno de los m\u00e1s antiguos de la ciudad y su historia se respira en sus calles empedradas y construcciones, en los mercaditos de antig\u00fcedades y en el sentir tanguero que acompa\u00f1a todo el recorrido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sus galer\u00edas de arte, bares, murales y el im\u00e1n de su mercado de pulgas definen a este barrio porte\u00f1o, cuna de familias patricias, aristocr\u00e1ticas, que 1871 abandonaron sus residencias por la amenaza de la fiebre amarilla. Entonces, muchas casonas fueron ocupadas por inmigrantes que las convirtieron en conventillos..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En la esquina de Bol\u00edvar y Carlos Calvo se encuentra el Mercado de San Telmo. Es uno de los m\u00e1s antiguos de Buenos Aires; su edificio fue inaugurado en 1897 con el fin de abastecer de v\u00edveres a los inmigrantes que se acomodaban en el barrio. Est\u00e1 construido en hierro con techos de chapa y vidrio. Fue declarado patrimonio hist\u00f3rico nacional en el a\u00f1o 2000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mantiene su estructura original pero se ha modernizado. Es posible encontrar una gran variedad de puestos cl\u00e1sicos de verduras carnes y panader\u00edas y, tambi\u00e9n, restaurantes cafeter\u00edas artesan\u00edas y antig\u00fcedades. Tambi\u00e9n,  negocios que ofrecen postales de Argentina con Messi y la tercera Copa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abierto: de lunes a viernes de 10 a 21. S\u00e1bados de 10 a 22 y domingos de 10 a 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aqu\u00ed  van algunos lugares imperdibles de San Telmo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Viejo Almacen, Bar Sur, la Casa M\u00ednima (la m\u00e1s angosta de la Ciudad, mide s\u00f3lo 2.30m de frente),  Plaza Dorrego (la segunda m\u00e1s antigua de la ciudad), el Mercado de Pulgas (funciona en la plaza y se extiende por la calle Defensa), Museo de Arte Moderno, Museo Hist\u00f3rico Nacional (se exhibe el sable de San Mart\u00edn, entre tantas cosas interesantes), Parque Lezama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
